About Us
Satu Kuokkanen, MD, PhD

Dr. Satu Kuokkanen, MD, PhD, is board certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) as well as in obstetrics & gynecology. She has been practicing reproductive endocrinology since 2008.

Dr. Kuokkanen is an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Langone Long Island School of Medicine. After earning her graduate degrees, she continued postdoctoral training first at The National Institutes of Health (NIH), then at Columbia University. Dr. Kuokkanen completed her residency and REI fellowship training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In 2017, she joined NYU Langone Reproductive Specialists of New York.

An experienced clinician, she is highly respected by colleagues and patients for her compassionate and tenacious care. Furthermore, Castle Connolly and SuperDoctors annually have recognized Dr. Kuokkanen as one of the top fertility doctors. She is an active member in medical societies, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and Society for Reproductive Investigation.

Dr. Kuokkanen's areas of interest include female and male infertility, in-vitro-fertilization (IVF), pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT), egg and embryo freezing for elective and medical reasons, ovulation induction and artificial insemination, fertility care for single women and LGBTQ+ community, third party reproduction, PCOS, menstrual cycle abnormalities and recurrent pregnancy loss. In addition, she specializes in minimally invasive surgery intended to improve fertility.
